Sydney State College (SSC) is more than just a place to learn. Our positive approach to study not only helps you prepare for a career in our changing world but helps define what success means for you. 

Sydney State College is a Registered and regulated by the Australian Skills Quality Authority “ASQA” and Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students “CRICOS”.

By law, and as a condition of your student visa requirement, an International student must attend a total 20 scheduled course contact hours per week. Speak to our admission team for your further requirement.

Different countries have different visa processes. Sydney State College(SSC) advises you to check with your local Australian High Commission, Embassy or Consulate and ask for the ‘Student visa section’. Or our International agent network, they will advise you on what documents or other forms of evidence you may need. Alternatively, you may visit the Department of Immigration and Border Protection website at www.homeaffairs.gov.au

 

Yes, international students can work up to 48 hours per fortnight whilst the course is in session. When Sydney State College (SSC) has scheduled breaks, you are free to work as many hours as you wish. Please refer to our Academic Calendar on our website.

Yes, it is compulsory for everybody on student visa to have overseas health cover. Sydney State College (SSC) provide OSHC from the selected health insurer.

Yes, you can, please talk to our admin or customer service staffs.

Students need to have access to internet and a computer or iPad or smart phone to be able to participate in online learning.

Response to any queries will be straight forward if you contact us via phone or email during our business hours Monday
to Friday 9 am-6 pm.
Trainers will be also responding to your queries regarding studies as per the scheduled online lecture and support
sessions. Responses from trainers might be delayed outside these designated times

Usually within 7 working days student can receive the outcome and feedback

Trainers and Assessors can be contacted during the timetabled hours and all the communication should be via student’s email address.

Students will also be provided with academic and other supports related to their studies. Please refer to the Student Handbook for details on the range of our support services
